I mean, I almost feel like I don’t have to say anything further about the news that the Church of England has decided to allow women to be ordained as bishops than what CNN has already provided:
The theological debate over women bishops has centered over the question “What would Jesus do?”
But I will. Look - Jesus was a Jew (like me), and I think he was probably a great guy with some cool ideas. And I’m no bible expert, but I think - correct me if I’m wrong - that he generally kicked it with a wide variety of people. Acceptance? General love and the like? Right? Anyway, the decision was made last night and apparently the Vatican has got it’s panties in a big fat dogmatic knot about it:
“This decision will have consequences on the dialogue which had brought good fruits,” the Vatican statement said. - CNN
Far be it for me to say that the fruits which have been broughten thus far are not good, but hey, maybe it’s time to try a different piece of delicious produce.

The Vatican needs to catch up with the times. I don’t think the Vatican would condone calling women inferior, so why not give them equal access/ power to preach their faith?
