Babeland has a lovely little tutorial up on their blog about strengthening your PC muscles, in response to the NYT piece about a vagina spa. Love that! (And just as an aside, here, we will be the bigger person by overlooking the fact that Babeland blindsided us L.A. sex toy aficionados by yanking their store right out from under our vaginas).
Babeland blogger Dallas (is that your stripper name? just wondering…cause I mean, it’s good if it is…) reminds us of the many reasons why we want strong PC muscles in the first place:
Strong PC muscles can help reduce incontinence in old age, they can help you ejaculate from G-Spot stimulation, they help with labor and delivery (you know that pushing thing? That’s the PC muscles) and, most amazingly, they increase the strength of your orgasms.
I’ll be in the bathroom trying to stop my flow of urine if you need me.

Sadie,
It is my stripper name! Except that I’m not a stripper. But anyway.
Glad you found the post useful. The PC muscles are wonderful things.
Sorry about the LA store. We were so sad that we had to close it. Come visit New York!

(saw a comment on dailybedpost that linked over here) Kegels rule! Though it is recommended to not do them while whizzing (med folk say “voiding,” which sounds kinda goth). They *are* the same muscles used to stop the flow of urine, but doing so regularly during urination can cause infection due to liquid being forced back into the bladder. Better to do Kegels while commuting/stuck in traffic, watching TV, while on the computer, etc.
