I am completely obsessed with Secret Diary of a Call Girl, on Showtime. It airs on Monday nights at 10:30, right after Weeds, which is also fantastic, and I just can’t get enough.

I love that the main character, Hannah (Belle, to her clients), played by Billie Piper (a smokin’ Brit), who is a high-priced escort, is actually portrayed as complex, smart, witty, moral andlike-able. This is a combination that we don’t normally see in mainstream depictions of sex-workers.

And, no, everything isn’t perfect about the show- I’m not exactly sure where they are going with the increasingly difficult time she’s having keeping her life compartmentalized… but, I guess that makes sense. We’ll see where it goes…

I also have to say that I have a total crush on Billie, and that helps bring me back to the couch every week. Her only quote on her profile page on Showtime’s site:

 Weight doesn’t matter as long as you’re happy with yourself.

OKAY?! Word.
