Today, I spent the better part of the morning with a screwdriver in hand. I pushed and pulled from the front, side and back of a desk that was determined not to let me take it apart.
Now, I’ve lived alone for the past five years (jesus), and it gives me great pain to think that I might have to rely on my man to finish this. The thing is, I ask myself - without him, what would I do? I would take that desk down onto the floor, I would wrassle it. I would take it apart, if indeed apart it could come. So is it bad that I want to just call scene on it and let him handle it? Is this bad? My inner feminist ideologue weeps, but my back and my arms and my knuckles say thank you. Who wins?

Everyone has different strengths and weaknesses. Part of being a smart woman is knowing when to ask for help — whether it’s from the man in your life, or someone else who has strengths in areas where you have weaknesses. He will need your help sometime too!
