The Accused Responds.

January 9th, 2009 · No Comments

There’s a common belief out there that women who are friends have a tendency not to fight with one another. They don’t want to rock the boat, be offensive or being generally unladylike. It’s a burden that many of us with vaginas grew up with — learning how to be a “nice girl,” and not speak up for ourselves.

Well, all that is about to change. Yesterday, many of you read Sara accuse a co-worker of calling out her public fart. That co-worker believes her character was thus defamed, and has agreed to let us post her response here for your viewing pleasure. In her own words: “I am fighting and I’m not backing down until I receive a sincere online apology! May my struggle be the inspiration for other young women to stand up and take back their good name…”

Here is her response, in full:

Although I remained unnamed in the above allogation, I feel I am obligated to defend myself anyway.

1. I did NOT run down the hallway shouting and spreading the news to all in sight- that is blasphemy.

2. I AND Sara happened to see said owner-of-the-cube together, and I merely warned this owner-of-cube of what may await her, knowing that if roles were reversed, Sara would also want and respect the forewarning.

3.  I even glanced around to make sure there were no witnesses, as I would never want to cause Sara undue embarrassment. Come on, do you really think she cares if this particular owner-of-cube knew?  I think not.

Just have to clear my name.  That is all.  Booya.
